Bacteriostatic Water is sterile water containing 0.9% w/v benzyl alcohol as an antimicrobial preservative, supplied as a research diluent for in-vitro peptide reconstitution.

Bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing 0.9% w/v benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. The benzyl alcohol inhibits microbial growth, allowing the vial to be punctured multiple times without compromising sterility, which suits laboratory settings where repeated withdrawals from a single vial are standard practice. It is used as a water-based diluent for reconstituting lyophilized peptides for in-vitro research, alongside PBS, assay buffer, and other protocol-appropriate diluents.

Bacteriostatic Water is produced to research-grade sterile standards and independently verified by third-party HPLC and MS-UPLC analysis before dispatch. Vials are vacuum sealed and stored in a temperature-controlled, monitored environment to preserve sterility throughout the supply chain. Certificates of Analysis are available on request.
