Sermorelin (CAS 86168-78-7), also known as GRF(1-29), is a synthetic 29-amino acid peptide corresponding to the first 29 residues of endogenous human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). With the molecular formula C149H246N44O42S and a molecular weight of 3357.93 g/mol, Sermorelin acts at the GHRH receptor (GHRH-R) and is structurally and mechanistically distinct from the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a) agonists in the secretagogue class.
Sermorelin is one of the most extensively studied GHRH analogs in preclinical neuroendocrinology.
