Bacteriostatic Water for Injection (BWFI) is sterile water for injection containing 0.9% w/v benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. The benzyl alcohol component inhibits microbial growth, allowing the vial to be punctured multiple times without compromising sterility — a critical requirement in laboratory settings where repeated withdrawals from a single vial are standard practice. Bacteriostatic Water is the recommended diluent for reconstituting lyophilised peptide preparations and is produced to Water for Injections (WFI) quality standards under cGMP conditions.

Bacteriostatic Water 10ml is manufactured in a cGMP compliant, ISO9001 certified facility. Every batch is independently tested for sterility, endotoxin levels, and benzyl alcohol concentration before dispatch.

Vials are vacuum sealed and stored in a temperature-controlled, monitored environment to preserve sterility throughout the supply chain. Certificates of Analysis are available on request.
