What is DNSP-11?
DNSP-11 is a chain of eleven amino acids. Its sequence sits inside a larger protein called proGDNF, which the body cuts up to make a growth factor called GDNF. DNSP-11 comes from the offcut rather than from the growth factor itself, and it is a different substance from GDNF with its own separate research behind it. All of the published work comes from one laboratory in Kentucky, and all of it is in cells, in rats or in monkeys.
Technical Specs
Labeled quantity is net peptide content, not gross salt weight.
DNSP-11 Research & Reference
What DNSP-11 does in published studies, and how to work with it in the laboratory, are covered in full on two dedicated pages rather than summarised here, so neither the evidence nor the handling detail is cut short.
Safety Data Sheet
The safety data sheet for DNSP-11 is below as a PDF, in the 16-section GHS format covering identification, hazards, handling, storage and disposal.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is DNSP-11 independently tested for purity?+−
Yes. Every batch of DNSP-11 is tested by an independent third-party laboratory using HPLC and MS-UPLC, confirming purity and mass identity before the batch is released. Pure Peptides does not test its own material.
What does "Research Use Only" mean?+−
It means DNSP-11 is supplied for in-vitro laboratory research and for no other purpose, and must not be administered to humans or animals. DNSP-11 is legal to purchase in the United States for in vitro and non-clinical laboratory research. It carries no FDA approval or therapeutic indication for human use. DNSP-11 is not a scheduled substance under the Controlled Substances Act. Sold strictly for qualified research use, not human or veterinary administration.
How is DNSP-11 shipped and stored?+−
DNSP-11 ships from US stock with cold-chain packaging and full tracking; orders placed before noon EST on business days are typically dispatched the same business day. On arrival, store the lyophilized powder at -20°C or below, dry and protected from light.
Is DNSP-11 the same as GDNF?+−
No. GDNF is a mature growth factor protein. DNSP-11 is an 11-amino-acid peptide whose sequence sits in the proregion of the precursor, proGDNF, which is cut away when GDNF is produced. They are different molecules with separate literatures, and the published work on GDNF is not evidence about this peptide.
How much research exists on DNSP-11?+−
Very little. Around seventeen records are indexed, and the four studies that carry checkable results all come from the same laboratory. No independent group has replicated any of them. The Published Research tab reports what those studies found, including the results that were null.
