Bronchogen is a very short peptide, a chain of just four amino acids. It comes from a Russian research program in St Petersburg that has built a series of these short peptides since the 1970s. Each peptide in that series is its own compound, with its own chain and its own studies. Bronchogen has been studied in three places: cells grown from human airway tissue, test-tube work on how it sticks to DNA, and one study of plant roots.
