What is IGF-1 DES?
IGF-1 DES is IGF-1, a growth factor and research protein the body makes in response to growth hormone, with the first three links of its chain removed. Native IGF-1 is 70 links long; this version is 67. It is not purely a laboratory invention: researchers have found the shortened form in cow colostrum, in human brain tissue and in pig uterus, where it appears to be made by the body cutting the longer form. The three missing links include the one that anchors IGF-1 to its carrier proteins.
