What is Livagen?
Livagen is a very short peptide, a chain of four amino acids. It comes from a Russian research program in St Petersburg that has built a series of these short chains since the 1970s. Chemists worked out its recipe from the mix of peptides found in liver tissue. Most of the research on it concerns liver cells, and the rest looks at chromosomes in white blood cells taken from very old people.
