What is Pinealon?
Pinealon is a synthetic peptide of three amino acids, glutamic acid, aspartic acid and arginine, written Glu-Asp-Arg or EDR. It is one of the very short peptides developed at the St Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. Research on it is small in volume but, unusually for this group of compounds, published in English. It covers three areas: where the peptide goes once inside a cell, how cells cope with oxidative stress in its presence, and a set of small studies in rats and one in mice. About ten Russian-language reports in people also exist, and several of them test it alongside other peptides.
