What is Prostamax?
Prostamax is a very short peptide, a chain of four amino acids. It comes from a Russian research program in St Petersburg that has built a series of these short chains since the 1970s. Chemists worked out its recipe from peptides found in prostate tissue. The research on it splits in two: one study of prostate tissue kept alive in a dish, and several on the chromosomes inside white blood cells taken from very old people.
