What is ADAMAX?
ADAMAX is a laboratory-made peptide. It is built from seven amino acids, Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro, with an acetyl group capping one end and a single adamantylglycine unit capping the other. That final unit is one building block, not two: the letters AG in the written formula stand for adamantylglycine, not for alanine followed by glycine. No published study has looked at this compound, so the points below describe the chemistry it is built from rather than anything it has been shown to do.
Technical Specs
Labeled quantity is net peptide content, not gross salt weight.
ADAMAX Research & Reference
What ADAMAX does in published studies, and how to work with it in the laboratory, are covered in full on two dedicated pages rather than summarised here, so neither the evidence nor the handling detail is cut short.
Safety Data Sheet
The safety data sheet for ADAMAX is below as a PDF, in the 16-section GHS format covering identification, hazards, handling, storage and disposal.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is ADAMAX independently tested for purity?+−
Yes. Every batch of ADAMAX is tested by an independent third-party laboratory using HPLC and MS-UPLC, confirming purity and mass identity before the batch is released. Pure Peptides does not test its own material.
What does "Research Use Only" mean?+−
It means ADAMAX is supplied for in-vitro laboratory research and for no other purpose, and must not be administered to humans or animals. ADAMAX is legal to purchase in the United States for in vitro and non-clinical laboratory research. It has no FDA approval and no approved human use. ADAMAX is not a scheduled substance under the Controlled Substances Act. Sold strictly for qualified research use, not human or veterinary administration.
How is ADAMAX shipped and stored?+−
ADAMAX ships from US stock with cold-chain packaging and full tracking; orders placed before noon EST on business days are typically dispatched the same business day. On arrival, store the lyophilized powder at -20°C or below, dry and protected from light.
Why does a literature search for ADAMAX return computer science papers?+−
"Adamax" is also the name of a variant of the Adam optimiser used in machine learning, and those papers are what a search on the name returns. No published study of this compound has been found under that name or under its formal designation, N-Acetyl Semax-Adamantane. The Published Research tab lists the searches that were run.
Is research on Semax research on ADAMAX?+−
No. ADAMAX is Semax with an acetyl group added at one end and an adamantane group at the other. Those modifications change the molecule, and no study has measured what they change. Semax has a published literature and it is reported on the Semax page; none of it is evidence about this compound.
Why does the page describe chemistry rather than results?+−
Because no study of this compound has been published. The Published Research tab lists the searches run and their results. What the page does carry is published work on the chemistry the molecule is built from: the two end caps, the adamantane group, and adamantylglycine as a residue in other peptides. Every one of those studies used a different molecule, and each is described with that scope stated.
