Ovagen is a chain of three amino acids, glutamic acid, aspartic acid and leucine, from a Russian research program in St Petersburg that has built a series of these very short chains since the 1970s. Each one in the series is its own compound with its own studies. The published research on this particular chain is about the kidney. Three studies have tested it in rats, in kidney injury caused by an antibiotic, by a cancer drug and by cutting off and restoring the blood supply, and in the kidneys of old rats. Nothing published about it concerns ovarian tissue, despite the product's name. A completely separate product sold under the same name, a hormone preparation used in animal breeding, is what a search on the name returns.
